Mozambique is built on the idea that some objects do not belong to a single place.
They move between environments — between kitchen and open fire, between home and outdoors. Not defined by one use, but shaped to work in many.
This way of thinking comes from the meeting of two traditions.
From Sweden, a design approach that values clarity and restraint — where form is reduced to what is essential, and every detail serves a purpose. From Japan, a deep respect for craftsmanship — where knowledge is built over time, and making is treated as a discipline.
Together, they form a foundation for objects that are both considered and enduring.
At Mozambique, we design tools to be used over long periods of time. Not only to perform well when new, but to remain relevant as they are used, maintained, and gradually change with age. Materials are chosen for their honesty. Construction is made to last. What happens over time is not seen as wear, but as part of the object’s life.
The sauté pan is the first expression of this idea.
